Brief - Setting

Setting Selected

The setting we chose was an abandoned house in Hutton Mount. This was one of two that we chose; the other abandoned house was in Wyatt’s Green. Both of these houses had been abandoned and had no signs displaying ‘no trespassing’ or ‘Do not enter’. This gives us the liability to use the house. We know that the house is abandoned for 10 years and was abandoned due to property development and the original owner not being able to fund it. The house has been trashed in the meantime as the walls have been covered in dirt, all the windows have been smashed and there are lots of holes which have been smashed into the walls and doors.

The room we have chosen to film in is the room with a smashed mirror. This portrays an image of a character that has a messed up vision on life and an alter ego. This room is also good to use because it is empty accept from the draws by the broken mirror, the fact that they are hanging out and empty shows the character has no possessions and may be only be living life for one reason or even just waiting to die.
